The operating system for busy wash bays
One live workspace for check-ins, customer updates, your lounge board, and every washer's payout.

Replace the clipboard, the WhatsApp guesses, and the payout spreadsheet.
Based on our first wash bays in Nairobi.
Customers interrupt the cashier every 10 minutes asking where their car is.
Every plate on the lounge board. Customers stop asking.
Plates and washer assignments live on paper or memory. One distraction and a job falls through.
Car ready? WhatsApp first. SMS if it fails. Cashier keeps moving.
End-of-day payout is a 20-minute argument. Nobody fully trusts the number.
Each washer's cut saves the moment a car is marked ready. Download at close.
Lounge board
The moment a car is checked in, it appears on the TV in your waiting area. Customers watch it move from Waiting to Washing to Ready. Nobody walks to the counter to ask where their car is.

Plate, phone, wash. Tap once. The lounge TV changes before the cashier turns back to the next customer.

When a car is ready, the customer gets a WhatsApp. If WhatsApp fails, an SMS goes instead. The cashier keeps serving the next person.
WhatsApp first. SMS if needed.KBZ 447Y is checked in. You're #3. About 25 minutes. We'll text when it's ready.
KBZ 447Y is clean and ready. KES 2,500 when you collect. See you outside.
Washer payouts
Each washer's cut is saved against the plate the moment the car is marked ready. At close, download the list. No calculator. No argument.

Laundry & upholstery
Create a laundry order, price by the metre, and your customer gets a text when washing starts, when it's ready, and when it's collected. Pickup and delivery built in.
Carpets, sofas, curtains, blanketsBefore Carwosh, every Saturday ended with a heated payout discussion. Washers couldn't agree on which cars they'd done, and we were counting tallies on scrap paper at 6 PM. Now, every cut is saved the moment a car is marked ready. My team trusts the number. I trust the number. That alone was worth the switch.

Every plate has a visit counter. Every 9th wash, the customer gets a free-wash text. After thirty quiet days, a nudge goes out. Nothing to set up. It runs from the first check-in.
After that, we take a small cut of what actually gets processed. No subscription, no per-service pricing, no card on file.
| Revenue processed this month | Rate |
|---|---|
| KES 0 - 15,000 | Free |
| KES 15,000 - 150,000 | 1.7% |
| KES 150,000 - 450,000 | 1.3% |
| KES 450,000+ | 1.0% |
Worked example: process KES 200,000 in a month and your fee comes to about KES 2,945. A slower KES 80,000 month owes about KES 1,105. Nothing processed, nothing owed.
The free band already includes the lounge board, WhatsApp and SMS ready messages, and washer payout tracking. Nothing extra to unlock.
No contract, no monthly minimum, no card charged automatically. We invoice you for what happened, same as today.
Do I need to buy a TV?
Any TV or monitor works. Plug an HDMI cable from your office machine to the TV in the waiting area and open the board URL on that machine. It refreshes automatically every few seconds. No special hardware required.
How is the platform fee calculated?
On the revenue you enter for each job, the same number your customer is charged. Mark a KES 2,500 wash complete and KES 2,500 counts toward the month's total. Nothing separate to track, no second ledger to keep.
What if we have a slow month?
You're invoiced only on what actually got processed. A quiet month at KES 80,000 owes about KES 1,105. Process nothing, and you owe nothing. There's no minimum bill.
Does it matter if we do cars, laundry, or both?
No. Every job you complete, wash or laundry order, adds to the same monthly revenue total at the same rate. You don't tag it by service type and neither do we.
Do prices change if we use our own WhatsApp number?
No. Whether messages go out from Carwosh's number or one you've connected yourself, the fee schedule is identical.
Is there a contract?
No. No contract, no monthly minimum, no card kept on file. Stop processing cars and the invoice for that month is zero.
How do we get invoiced?
The same way it works today: once the month closes, we send an invoice for what was processed. You pay that invoice; nothing is auto-charged.
Which number sends the WhatsApp messages to my customers?
By default, messages go out from Carwosh's own number. Nothing to set up. If you already have a WhatsApp Business account or an SMS line and want messages to come from your own number, you can plug in your own credentials in settings. Your customers will see your wash name instead of ours. If you need help connecting your SMS setup, we'll do it for you at no charge.
How does payout tracking work?
When a cashier marks a car ready, Carwosh records which washer did the job and applies their commission rate to the car price. That entry is saved immediately, with no end-of-day reconciliation from memory. At close, download the CSV: washer name, cars done, rate, and amount owed. Every line is traceable back to a specific plate.
Can Carwosh handle carpet cleaning and upholstery orders?
Yes. Carpet, sofa, curtain, and blanket orders run through the same system as car wash jobs. Create a laundry order with items and measurements, price by the metre, and the customer gets a WhatsApp or SMS at each stage. Pickup and delivery are tracked in the same order. No separate system needed.
Does Carwosh work outside Kenya?
Yes. The problems Carwosh solves (queue confusion, payout disputes, customers asking if their car is ready) are the same in Nairobi, Johannesburg, London, and Kampala. Carwosh was built after watching how busy car washes actually operate. That experience is from Kenya, but the problems are universal. The fee schedule above is what we run in Kenya today; we'll adapt it as we open new markets.
The board runs. Texts go out. Washers get paid without a 6 PM argument. Carpets and sofas too.
